sad day in red bank

i pulled out the last of my wares today.  monmouth antique shoppes has officially closed for business last sunday, may 20.  believe this or not, but they are going to knock the building down and build condos.  what floats in my head is "they paved paradise and put up a parking lot".  it definately sucks.  hopefully we will come back together in asbury park soon.  john is the pied piper and we are anxiously awaiting news of our new location.

more projects in the wings

i have a storage unit full of new projects and of coarse i have very few pictures of whats in there.  love this little table.  have 2 china cabinets, an armoire, 4 or 5 nightstands, a child table with chairs, and assorted more stuff!  as soon as our weather is good enough on the weekends (my only available time) i need to go and take pix.  i have a booth that needs filling!

some furniture projects

i love annie sloan chalk paint.  it's amazing how it covers, without sanding or priming.  this china cabinet is painted in louis blue, with old white inside.

this desk is stiped with old white, heavily distressed.   the little green table is painted with anitbes.

the dresser drawers are covered in vintage nautical maps of long island sound.

the little blue table was painted in provence and very heavily distressed.  this was my first project and i loved the effect.  the woman who bought it loved it as well!

so

just spent the day at monmouth antiques and decided that i should do this.  let's see where it goes... okay?
